The Cow-Town that is slowly coming to life here in the NW Nebraska Badlands is framed by the well known Pine Ridge country. The Kesselring Family began this life’s project with a love of the area and an admiration for those who lived here prior. The homestead era tools, implements, household items and building recreations are done so with a deep respect and admiration of the spirit of the originals and a desire to share that spirit with those of us here today.
The surrounding national grasslands, forests and badlands offer limitless opportunities for fossil and rock hunting, big game hunting, photography and star-gazing, just to name a few. Although we do not offer horse-back riding, the Diamond Rafter Livery provides overnight horse corrals for those interested in riding this beautiful country. And to add to it all, just up the road is the Hudson-Meng Bison Kill Site and Toadstool Geologic Park.
The Sidney-Deadwood Stage Line crossed the prairie very near here, transporting miners to, and gold from, Deadwood, SD. The trail was known as the “Gold Trail,” and so we feel our fine collection of Black Hills Gold jewelry is right at home here. In fact, we are proud to offer the largest selection of Black Hills Gold jewelry in Northwest Nebraska.
