High Plains Homestead Glampground and RV park, May-October
All rooms and sites are reservation only, with a 2-night minimum and 30-day maximum stay. A one night's stay non-refundable deposit per room or $10.00 camping deposit is required at time of reservation plus a $50.00 refundable deposit per pet. (RV’s, tent campers without reservations may be allowed to camp on the property per management’s approval.)

We are a rugged campground, or "glamping" facility. We encourage you to bring your own sleeping bag or linens.
Linen option: All rooms are priced without linens provided. Bedding and towels add $10 per set of linens per week if you'd like folded linens provided. Linens are changed weekly if you are staying for more than 7 days. Please help us be mindful of our septic system, well water, and our resources! Thank you.
Upgraded Stay Option: This option is only available for the Sand Creek Cabin ($65) and the Honeymoon Homesteader Room ($40). Upon arrival, this upgrade includes your beds made, a towel set per guest, upgraded coffees and teas, and one basket of assorted snacks and flavored waters. The Sand Creek Cabin upgrade also includes a cord of firewood, while the Honeymoon Homesteader upgrade includes chocolates on your pillow.
Food Service: All rooms have microwaves and mini-fridges. A fully equipped community kitchen and grill are available to all guests, and you are always welcome to cook your own meals. A selection of continental breakfast items will be offered for sale in the mercantile.
Pet policy: A refundable $50.00 deposit fee per pet will be charged at check-in. There is also a $20 fee per animal each night in rooms. No per night charge for pets in RV’S or tents but the $50 deposit applies. ALL pets (dogs, cats, and service animals) MUST be on a leash at all times out of doors. Any damage to the room or property including pet waste, caused by the pet will be billed to you above the deposit and the deposit is forfeit. Unattended pets in rooms MUST be kenneled. Please pick up all pet waste. Any pet that is deemed dangerous, aggressive, off-leash, or out of control by the management will be cause to ask the pet owner to leave. Unused days will be refunded, all deposits are forfeit.
Horse Boarding: At this time we are not offering horse boarding, but if you'd like to bring yours, please contact us by phone or call Our Heritage Guest Ranch.
THERE ARE NO DUMP STATIONS ON THE PROPERTY. PLEASE COME WITH EMPTY SEWAGE TANKS.
Be aware that the dirt roads can be slippery when wet even in the summer.
Our water comes from a well, is safe to drink, and comes with the “healing” powers of minerals and a sulfur odor. We don’t charge extra for that but fill your RV tanks at your discretion.
There are no full hook-up sites on the property.
Electric and Water- $35 per night. No dump station on the property.
Electric-only- $25 per night. No dump station on the property.
No hookup, dry, or tent camping- $10.00 per night. The bathhouse is available.
Pool: The pool opens based on the weather. There is no lifeguard on duty, and children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Pool use policies are posted in the rooms. There are no animals allowed inside the pool gates.
Note: NO OPEN FIRES! An indoor community kitchen and outdoor grill are available. Camping cookstoves/gas tabletop grills are allowed on the patio area adjacent to the community kitchen only. No portable charcoal grills or propane grills. Never put or dump any hot item or liquid on the grass. Be aware of the wind when cooking. This is a wind prone area. Be aware that awnings and any lose furniture or items can be blown away/damaged with little warning. High Plains Homestead is not liable for your personal items or awning.
The homestead is an amazing place to explore for kids, but please be aware that there is no staff on hand to watch your children for you. Climbing on the buildings, or into the pens with the animals is strictly forbidden. Children under 13 must be supervised by a parent or guardian. Please keep your children from chasing the cats. They are not tame and are working barn cats that keep the mouse population down.
You are welcome to provide your own cook or catering service and we will work with them or you to accommodate your serving needs. The entire facility can be rented for your event exclusively, or you may rent individual rooms or areas.
Daily exclusive facility use is dependent on reservation availability. For questions and exclusive use reservations please call.
Exclusive facility fee: nightly; $660 for 1-3 nights, $630 for 4-6 nights (you save $30 per night stay), $600 for 7 or more nights (you save $60 per night stay). $400 non-refundable one-time deposit is due at reservation which is $260 less than the non-refundable deposit for booking the rooms individually.

You would have exclusive use of the entire facility and be able to house up to 32 people in beds (linen fees apply) and use of the RV/campsites. We would set it up per your request. Newlyweds would have one extra night in the Honeymoon Homesteader room free! If RV/campsites are not needed, RV’s and campers not in your group would only be allowed with your permission.
Non-exclusive group rates:
Rooms: Regular room rates per night. (If you would like to reserve all the rooms you are an exclusive group.)
Rooms 1-4: Weekday rate (Mon-Thur)- $80 Weekend rate (Fri-Sun)- $85 Weekly rate- $490
Rooms 5-6: Weekday rate (Mon-Thur)- $100 Weekend rate (Fri-Sun)- $110 Weekly rate- $620
Sandcreek Cabin: Weekday rate (Mon-Thur)- $140 Weekend rate (Fri-Sun)- $150 Weekly rate- $860
Individual day use building rental for the: Saloon, Cookhouse (seating only- no kitchen access) Schoolhouse; $50.00 per building per day, due at reservation, non-refundable, and subject to availability. 10:00am-4:00pm. These can seat between 10 to 30 people approximately. The buildings will be closed to other guests and set up per your needs. You are responsible for your own decorating. Tables/chairs above what is available on site will be your responsibility. Please have the buildings returned to pre-event condition at the end of the event schedule/day. These rooms are included in the exclusive use fee.
We encourage guests to feel at home here at the Homestead, but rearranging of furniture, fixtures, or artwork is prohibited unless allowed by the owners, so please ask if there is anything you need. We will do our best to accommodate you.
If there are more people than the max guest capacity staying in any one room there will be a $20 per person per night additional charge. This fee is waived if the additional guest is a child under the age of 5.
Any damages done to the rooms will be photographed, and an invoice sent for the cost of repairs or replacement of broken or damaged items to the email address provided on the original booking. If the damage is from a pet staying on the property the pet deposit is forfeit and additional cleaning costs will be forwarded to the guest that booked the room. These invoices are due one week from the date they are generated. By making a reservation with us, you agree to these terms and conditions.
Cancellation Policy: All deposits are non-refundable. All balances are due upon check-in. Room or site cancellations require 72 hours’ notice. You will be charged an additional one night stay for late check-out. Group or event cancelation requires a 30-day notice.
