Welcome to High Plains Homestead Glampground and Rv park

An old-west frontier village has slowly come alive on the windswept prairie of northwest Nebraska, surrounded by rugged badlands and framed by the trees of our beautiful Pine Ridge. Amongst the ruggedness and beauty, rejuvenate your spirit through a wide variety of activities that can only happen here and are only limited by your imagination.

Some of the most popular activities include: family "glamping get-togethers" ,group retreats for the day or overnight, and church or school camps in the Bunkhouse cabins, or bringing your tent or RV.

Bird watching, geocaching, fossil hunting, riding, mountain biking, and hunting of all kinds (turkey, deer, antelope, and prairie dog) are favorite pastimes of many of our guests. Come and explore this amazing place that is "Out of the way, and out of the ordinary."

Hunting Season is upon us! Click here for a list of season dates:

Bookings are open for next season, and we have openings for the 2019 season! Reserve your stay now! For questions about late November bookings please call.

We are located off of miles of dirt roads, and although well maintained by the county, they can be slick when wet. Please make sure you are driving a vehicle that can reach us.

We have an amazing view of the Nebraska Badlands and are only 3 miles from the Hudson-Meng bison kill site.

Check out our neighbors at Our Heritage Guest Ranch for trail rides and horse boarding.

If you are looking for a fun time with the kiddos, then you are more than welcome to go searching for fossils or geodes on our 40 acres during your stay.

Our beautiful homestead backs up to Oglala National Grasslands.

Hunters, fossil lovers, and folks of all ages will enjoy exploring all we have to offer. Not to mention that when the sky is clear, and the sun goes down we have a front row seat to one of the greatest views of the heavens that you have ever seen.
